Using the site

By browsing typotouches.com you accept these terms. If you do not, the remedy is simple: stop using the site. The site is offered to anyone old enough to enter into these terms in their own country; the studio does not knowingly provide it to children under 13.

What the studio owns

The illustrations, application designs, book covers and interiors, the copy on these pages, the name TypoTouches and this site’s own design and code are the studio’s intellectual property, or are used with permission. Buying a print, a book or an app gives you that item — it does not transfer the underlying rights, and it does not permit reproduction, resale or use of the artwork in another product.

Anything you send the studio — a message, a suggestion, feedback — you send freely, and the studio may act on it without owing anything for it. Do not send confidential material through the contact form.

What you may do

• Link to any page here, from anywhere, without asking.
• Quote a reasonable extract of the catalogue’s text — a product description, a paragraph of a page — with attribution to TypoTouches and a link to the page it came from.
• Read and index the site with automated tools, within what robots.txt allows. Search engines and answer engines are explicitly welcome; the site publishes an /llms.txt for exactly that purpose.
• Print a page for your own reference.

What is not permitted: reproducing or redistributing the artwork or the book interiors, passing the studio’s work off as your own, removing the watermark from an image, using the name or the designs in a way that suggests a partnership that does not exist, or hammering the site in a way that degrades it for other people.

Purchases happen elsewhere

This site takes no payment and holds no stock. Wall art is produced and sold by Displate, books are printed and sold by Amazon, and applications are distributed by Google Play and Apple’s App Store. Price, availability, delivery, returns and refunds are set and handled by those companies, under their terms and their consumer-rights obligations. Deliberately, no price, rating or stock figure is stated anywhere on this site — the shop is the only accurate source for those.

Accuracy, and the limits of it

The catalogue is kept current and every listing here is checked against the shop it links to, but a shop can change a listing, withdraw a product or alter a description at any time. The site is provided as it is, without a warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, the studio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory consumer rights, which these terms leave untouched.

Links to other sites

Outbound links go to shops and stores the studio does not control. They are provided because that is where the work actually is; their content and their policies are their own.

Changes and governing law

These terms may change; the effective date at the top of the page changes with them, and continuing to use the site is acceptance of the current version.

These terms are governed by the law of the studio’s place of establishment, and nothing in them deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
